Akrein is a very hard headed bear, being very stubborn by nature. She makes no attempt at holding back her emotions when it comes to anything. If shes angry everyone within a mile will know it. Akrein is a loner through and through and lets anyone who comes near her know it. She wants nothing to do with anyone but herself or any cubs she is left to raise. When shes angry its best to steer clear because more often then not Akrein when shes angry, is looking for a fight. And when shes angry, and shes fighting, shes a monster. Most bears know that if they leave Akrein alone they will live long happy lives. Other, younger foolish bears sometimes find it in their interest to mess with Akrein. They soon learn from their mistakes, though she would never truly hurt a younger bear. Though she may seem rugged through and through she still has a soft spot for cubs. And so far in her life has raised three. Though she can Akrein prefers to stay in her animal shape and ever sense she was a child and accidentally turned into a human she has never done it again. She realizes there is no room for humans in this new frozen world.

Nothing about Akrein stands out really. She is large and burly like all polar bears with a sheer white coat. Except a single black circle around her right eye, her human mark. Like all human animal hybrids she bears a single colorful mark on her body, and hers just so happens to be black and on her face. Thick muscles and fat cover her thick bone structure and is drapped in a black layer of skin with white fur. She weighs about 600lb much bigger then a normal female polar bear. Thick long black claws protrude from each of her paws, a deadly menagerie of weapons. Long deadly cream color teeth are visible in her maw with a dark tint to them from the her constant hunting. A short stubby tail protrudes from her back end, serving no purpose whats so ever. On her face are her dry black nose, black lips, and her large hard black eyes. Her eyes are seem to be colder then the area around them. Along Akrein's shoulder is a long scar that travels from her shoulder blade to her ribs. God knows what could have given her such a horrendous scar. The thick pink puckered line of flesh simply adds to Akreins rugged appearance.

Akrein was born with a single sibling, Taskra, her mother Gova was a kind and gentle teacher. Though she never really knew her father. As she grew under her mothers protection and in the company of her sister she got stronger and wiser. Of course there were the occasional scares, like perhaps a rouge bear come to try and steal their food. But their mother always chased them off. Though sometimes more then one male came along, and when that happened Gova always took her cubs elsewhere. All in all she had a rather normal life, until she was 5 years old (Human years). When she turned five she discovered that if she focused she could feel something, a tingling sensation more or less. Curious as to what this was she plopped her little white butt in the snow and began to concentrate on it. Until it was all over her body. Unable to stop it now she got scared and ran to her mother. Her mother, unhappy by what was going on said it would be alright. And then, after five minutes, Akrein turned into her human self. Petrified she gave a shrill shriek, begging her mother to help her. Her mother, disgusted with her daughter forced herself to calm down and told her how to change back. Once she was a polar bear cub again she promised her mother to never do such an awful thing again.
After she left her mother and sister for a life on her own Akrein grew accustomed to the lonely life. When she turned six she mated for the first time, bearing three cubs. She nurtured them for 2 1/2 years before they separated. Once her cubs had left her Akrein decided to go and stay by the sea for awhile. Of course she had to hunt sooner or later, and when she went to dive into the sea she tore open her shoulder on a sharp ice flow. Bleeding badly the female limped back to shore where she was sure she was going to die. Until one of her sons turned up, he of course vowed to help his mother. After a month or two Akrein was healed and her and her son went their separate ways once again. She now lives on her own near the sea, chasing off anyone who tries to get close to her.
