THE lavish land of the tundra could only keep a canine content for so long. Seeing the same ellagant surroundings day in a day out could easily become a drag, leading into a cycle of mediocrity. Desde was not one who often grew incontent, but even she was becoming restless. A change of pace was good now and again. Sightseeing also allowed for a mental map to be drawn of the landscape. The taste of the new, crisp oxygen felt heavenly as it was being inhaled through her nose, filling up her lungs till they could hold no more. The woven locks of silver ebony that covered her vulnerable flesh shone against the dazzling rays of sunlight that filtered through the snow canopy. For this time of year, the illumination still retained some cwarmth, being especially attracted to her darkly tainted pelt for almost every wolf was white. Desdemona, The name of the Devil; these particular conditions brought out the best in her.
BRIGHT colored eyes, taking on a vibrant blue hue, shifted inquisitively in their vitreous fluids. Eyelids fluttered gently to block out the harmful rays from obscuring her vision. Birds flitted about restlessly in the trees, harmonizing chordial tunes and small rodents scuttled across the dense snowy brush of the floor. She could feel some eyes pressing against her, coming from other lesser creatures that were sharing the space with her. The female, however, had no intentions of hunting so all the fears these creatures had were all a fallacy. If she had wanted food, time would not be wasted. Now, in fact, all she was doing was wasting time, letting the day pass her by. It was late afternoon and she had been spending her day blending in with the shadows. Light footfalls carried her throughout the trees, in the darkness that cascaded from above..
STURDY and skinny limbs carried her body silently along, hoping to find a quiet place to take refuge for a short time. A rotten, hollowed out tree lingered in the distance and seemed like a decent spot to take a stop. Slowly her gait, she paused to look at the tree canopy above. Her eyes shifted, looking overhead, studying the intricate detail of the leaves. ”How lovely nature can be, even in its death.” Taking a sigh, her observation was made about these curling leaves, sucking the last bit of nutrients from the decaying tree. Wrinkled, pink flowers littered the ground around the tree’s base, indicating that it might be a type of the Dogwood species.
TIMES like these, when Desdemona was alone, were some of the most pleasant, but loneliest. She thoroughly enjoyed the company of others, indeed, but being a type to keep secrets, being alone was the only time she felt completely at ease. One could whisper sweet nothings to nature, and it would never tell a soul. A hazy black cloud lingered over her past, and those are memories she continually tries to unlock. They were repressed at some point in her life and it had been an utmost desire to uncover the secrets they held. Whether it was a poor childhood memory or a bloody betrayal, her curiosity was dying to know. It troubled her that none of her past seemed to be missing, no parts that she couldn’t seem to remember. As the sun was beginning to head back down into its slumber, Desde realized she had completely lost track of the time. A Kerl would be able to stay out like this all night, but being a loyal pack member, she would need to return to her territory by nightfall. Though it was neutral land, one could not know about all the terrifying things that could be lurking in the dark.

Rage watched as Desde moved passed. He had been digging again. She seemed to be distracted, he didnt want to disturb her, but he did anyway. "Desde!" he called. He ran forward, trying to catch up. His long legs gave him fast strides. "Desdemonia!" when he finally caught up, she was looking at a tree, dead and decaying. His gold eyes glittered. "Hey." he said, taking another step forward. he could see the beautiful ice-blue eyes as he came from he side. He stopped, his breath taken away. Though he wouldnt say, she was really, really amazing. He felt the cold move itself into his body, soothing the furious fire in his heart. No way was she like the others. Sure they were friends, but he was so solitary...

Desdemona smiled at Rage as he appeared behind her.She turned to look at him and her ice blue eyes rippled."Hey Rage!" The silver she wolf smiled, and turned to face him, her attention pulled from the decaying tree. She looked around and saw a small mouse scurrying by but she didn't bother to move. She watched it run and disappear into a small tunnel in the ground."How are you doing this evening?" she asked, her light voice, sounding almost like a song. Her voice was soft, determined, but gentle. She looked at the male in front of her,and noticed he was gazing at her in an odd way and she flicked her ears back wondering if there was something wrong. This was common for Desde and most of her pack mates where used to this, for she was very shy and a nervous.

Rage grinned. "I'm fine." he grinned softly. He sat next to her. "Do you want to do something- or are you just going to stare at the tree?" he joked. His gold eyes flashed again and his red pelt fidgeted. He didnt know what it was about her that made him act this way. He hoped that as long as his facial expression was normal that it would be fine. He shifted his paws and looked into her eyes, trying to keep his gaze steady. Her eyes seemed to glow and his pelt was set on edge. He wondered what her reply would be. Hunting? Running? He tried to contoll a twitching in the very tip of his tail.

Desdemona nodded at his offer and then looked out at the horizon."Wanna go for a walk?" she asked smiling."We need to get back to the pack anyway" she chuckled softly with her light voice. She was often looked upon oddly because she was the one in the pack with a red marking of the devil, and she hated being teased. She looked at Rage and wondered why he wasn't like this. She blinked her soft ice blue eyes, and turned and padded forward to start their leisure walk."come on" she smiled and stared off.Almost right away she tripped in a small dip in the round, that was probably made by the great polar bears of the ice tundra.
She had never seen a polar bear before but she heard that they were the strong, large ones of the people when they were humans. She hated being a human because she couldn't defend herself then. But now she could for she has razor sharp claws, and fangs. She looked at Rage and smiled her eyes glittering gently.

Rage Began to walk after her and smiled when she tripped. He couldnt help it, he found it funny. Then, he saw her smiled back at him and smiled wider. He wondered what it would be like to be something besides a wolf.... He liked the polar bears. "Hey, Desde..." he stopped and quickly came up with something to say. "Do we really have to go back to the pack right now? I wanted to show you my cavern....." he stopped all movement and looked down at his large red paws, his ears hot. His gold eyes focused on the claws of each paw he let his tail hang with his head. Idiot! he though, mentally running his claws through his eyes.

Desdemona thought about the offer, and then she blinked at him.She sat down and nodded.Sure why not, I mean its only one night... she murmered and bounded back towards him.Her silver pelt rippled each timne her gently, fragile paws met the earth. She sat down next to him thier pelts almost touching.Lead the way she smiled, and flicked her tail. She tried to face away so he couldnt see the mark that cuased her the bullying. She sighed...why did she out of all teh wolves have a devil symbol on her shoulder? she sighed and looked up at him,and thier eyes met his soft (insert color) eyes, and her bright ice blue eyes. She felt a soft blush form on her face, and since her soft fur was a light silver she tried to turn away, but it didnt help much.

((Ha, Gold)) Rage smiled as she blushed. "The cavern is just up here." he said, smiling. "You know, I like your mark." he said. What he wanted to say after was: A devil loves you, so it fits. But he blushed and kept his mouth shut. "Heh..." He wandered to the middle of the tree clearing and showed her the giant hole. "This is the main enterance." he said softly, gesturing to the gaping hole. Do you wanna see inside? his eyes seemed to say, but he nervously dug the claws of his right forepaw into the ground, mouth closed tightly. Rage kept his eyes focused on the hole, the warm air floating up from it. The main enterance was right near the prey cache, he could smell it. He was slightly hungry.... ((If they go inside, they should get snowed in.... > ))

(Deal c:)
Desdemona followed him and when he commented on her mark she smiled."Thank you" she said gently and padded inside her tail sweeping gently behind her.She knew it was going to snow heavily soon so she was glad for the warm shelter."Its nice so far" she said softly and she padded into the small cavern and looked around not sure where to go."Umm, Rage where do i go?" she asked turning around to look at him.The only thing you could really see was her eyes in the dark light. She looked around and didnt see anything, she wasnt used to the darkness. She heard teh gently dripping of a small stream, or a part where water was dripping into a cool pool below."Its wonderful so far" she smiled and turned to face him.Her light silver pelt getting a bit dirty.

Rage grinned. "There are a lot of rooms." he said. "The prey cache, a few dens for sleeping, some places where i try sculpting, and an underground "lake."" he laughed and looked at her. "Where do you want to go?" he asked. It was nice and warm as the heat was trapped underground. His red pelt glimmered softly. He could see Desdemonia's eyes clearly in the darkness. He felt suddenly uncomfortable with her, but he just said things without thought. Maybe to Desde this isnt so awquard. He thought. Mayb e it's all in your head, man. She couldnt really be that creeped out by you, could she? He was mentally clawing his eyes out again. His ears burned and flickered.

Desde smiled back at him."Hmmm" she though when he offered all the rooms to her.But when he said the 'lake' she blinked slowly."The lake...please" she smiled and padded up towards him and against him."Lead the way" she smiled, and waited for him to bad on.Does he feel awkward too? I mean I;m so odd and alone all the time that everyone leave me alone... she thought nervously, her black ears twitching back and forth in the muggy cabin."It's hot in here" she mumbled and looked down her eyes rippling. She flicked her ears relizing that that was rude."I'm sorry..i didnt mean-" she was cut of when a loud thunk was heard behind her and she whippered around and saw that they where snowed in.

Rage turned up to the now blocked entrance. He growled under his breath, but decided to lead her to the lake anyway. "I dug these. I can dig us out when we are done here." he boasted and lead the way to the lake. After a while of walking, he said, "It lightens up here in a second." as he spoke, a light came into view. Some unseen light was reflecting off the ice and giving it a warm light. He was suddenly lost in thought. That had been a pretty big thud. Lots of snow. Could he really dig them out? For the third time that day, he was mentally clawing his eyes out. His conscience roared and screamed, bashing it's head against the membrane of his mind.

Desde nodded and padded next to him."You're very good at digging, I see" she smiled and blinked at him with her ice blue eyes. The lithe, light silver she-wolf trotted next to him. When he annoucned that light was coming she nodded, and smiled as some warmth kneaded at her light pelt. She saw a sparkle of water ahead, and since she was one who loved to run, and was quite good at it too, she ran ahead.IN what would take another wolf a few bounds to reach, Desde just reched it in abbout 3 bounds of her light frame. She turned and pressed her nose to the water and lapped up a bit of water. Her ice blue eyes half way closed and looking down. Her tail was swinging gently behind her, and she smiled slightly between licks. ((LOLz accept ice instead of rocks))
Rage followed her more slowly. He reached the water and sat beside it. This was the largest room. It had basically carved itself. He sighed softly and turned to look at Desde. A smile instantly lit up his face. He didnt know what it was about her that made him so happy.
((Gah edit later))
